2.5 mil for that building strikes me as a bargain.

I know that place has its fans but my one and only visit was terrible- TERRIBLE, start to finish. Their much-vaunted fries were burnt on the outside and raw inside, horrible. We had a concert at the dome to get to so we ate what landed in front of us, but I didn't see a speck of what was supposed to make the place special.

^Must be a Have-to-be-born-in-Calgary thing to like it...I never even heard of it. But, sounds like it would have fans in the same way Peter's Drive-in does (which, I personally think is average or below).

Try CBs on Northmount Drive west of 14th Street. Just as good as when I was in Jr. high at St. Margaret's...

Burger Inn, especially the 18th ave SW location is the place for burgers if you ask me. Also, good poutine.

Caffe Artigiano! Superb sandwiches, like nowhere else. And sublime coffees.

^^3rd Street and 6th ave, in Centrium Place. You will not regret it, the Sandwiches are fucking awesome. I recommend the lamb panini myself.

Lamb Panini sounds delicious. I also love that it's in Centrium, gives me another reason (as if I needed even one) to go down there.

CB's fries are better than Peters' but not the Burgers, at least IMO. CB's has the best fast food fries in the city.

Not the case at all for Peters. When I lived in Calgary (I wasn't born there), any time I took someone from out of town to Peters they all really liked it. My relatives from England came, and they loved. They kept asking to go there.

I was introduced to Peter's when I was a teenager, taking a bus through Calgary for a ski trip, and the bus stopped there. Everyone one the bus couldn't wait to eat there.

I've only been to Peter's twice, and enjoyed it both times.
