The first tower to be built will be the 39-40 floor one. The podium will also be built at once.

From the piling going on, it seems like they will build the entire podium.

And from this render, it looks like one floor that is 2 stories in height:

Don't expect to ever see that view on the rendering as it will be blocked by a 40-storey building under construction.

This may bring construction to a halt for a while:

Very tragic incident. I will pray for his family.

Passed by Icone this morning, construction hasn't been halted despite the incident.

Hopefully this one won't be stalled. I hate that parking lot and the fugly CAA edifice.

Never thought this project was going to get underway before L'Avenue!

L'avenue seems to have been perpetually marred in stagnation. Stagnation in sales, stagnation in construction.

No need to worry about that I'd say.

When this project first got announced they said if the sales go well they'd add another 7 floors, bringing it to 200m.

Then it never was mentioned again.

Anyway, this doesn't really have anything to do with Icone, which is a much nicer project with a more competent team.

Little far away, and also mostly hidden by the not so pretty 'prettiest side' of the CAA building; but nevertheless, work has begun!

Was this taken from the CIBC tower?

Yes, I think you are right.
The sheraton Hotel would be blocking such a view from the CIBC tower!
