257 King William | ?m | 3 fl | Under Construction

City-owned parking lot was transferred to CHH a couple years back. We should see the first drawings on Thursday when the proposal goes to DRP.

I believe I saw something somewhere saying this is supposed to be a modular construction site - likely using the new Ellisdon modular housing plant in Stoney Creek.

Decent little infill project.

Those must be solar panels on the roof.

Could easily be a few more floors. It's adjacent to commercial buildings on almost all sides, except a taller residential building. Could easily be 4-8 storeys here with no issues.

Anyone know what's happening with the building next door, at the corner of Wellington?

Oct 2020: https://goo.gl/maps/sZGP9xYiz4nWs2cbA
(and it looks like a very long reno... those windows have been papered over for years!)

Years indeed! Maybe it's just a cover for nefarious activities within

But the roof was redone and it's been cleaned up considerably.

Doesn't look like it would fit that many, unless they're really tiny.

That render can't be right if that's the case? Looks like it could barely fit 12 2BR units lol

I remember hearing through the grapevine that someone was going to be putting a microbrewery in there, but that deal fell through in... 2019 I think?

I mean it’s modular housing meant to be built quick to help address the homelessness crisis.. what do you expect?

Haha that would be hilarious

Cornices WOULD spiff up that barn - and it will forever be known as "the barn" in my mind.

It would be really funny if a developer decided to put something up nearby called "Aggressive"
