Atlanta Streetcar Progress

Does anyone know how construction of the Alanta Streetcar is progressing?

Construction will not begin on the first line until this Fall. It will be complete some time near the end of 2012 or early 2013.

Streets Alive!

The latest edition of Streets Alive will be on the streetcar route. Auburn and Edgewood will both be closed to motorized vehicles and opened to walkers, bikers, joggers, pogo-stickers, etc...
Saturday, June 11th starting at 10:30AM (and repeating on June 25th)

When is the completion date of this?!?!? I know its this year but what month or date can anyone tell me?

It was set for an April completion date but it got moved to May I believe. I do not recall hearing anything about it being pushed passed May. They will also offer free rides for the first few months.

Thats great that they're doing it (first 3 months) what I heard from the news media they tyring to extend it far as Fort Mcpherson (East Point).They also said they will Change for McPherson into a mix-used development like atlantic station.

wow. they really look like full fledged light rail vehicles. that was to be expected, i suppose. loving the blue/green scheme too

This is going to be a very busy area, I can see it now and I wont be surprise if a another developer comes around with something creative,like this development but even probably start a building boom or the big BOOM We waiting for this area or maybe even the city, you think??
