So they knocked Stanford down one peg, and ASU down two and left everyone else where they where at the end of last year. Bold very bold.

Here's my equally bold prediction CU national champions by 2065

I think CU surprises one middle dweller this year. Oregon State seems like a possibility coming to Boulder in October.

6 wins is very doable.

CSU
UMass
Hawaii
Utah
Cal
OSU/UW/Zona

Prediction: By 2065 CU will have disbanded the football program and turned Folsom into a frisbee golf field.

What do you think we would be national champions in? Of course it will be disc golf because around roughly 2030 men's disc golf will surpass football in terms of revenue and will be the second most important collegiate sport behind women's roller derby. Unfortunately Arizona and ASU are destined to dominate the roller derby ranks for quite some time since they are getting a leap on the rest of the PAC and the other colleges right now.

I thought that was implied in my response, but I guess I need to be more specific.

6 wins and a bowl appearance have to be the legitimate goal this year. I don't really think they'll get there, but getting close would be progress.

I'm feeling a tad more optimistic this year in getting to 6 (4 last year was overachieving, given they switched Fresno for Central Arkansas). 5 is more realistic, but like I said, I think they have an upset or two in them. I'm ready to be surprised.

Yep, getting ready for another lackluster season from the Utes.
Who are we going to beat without a BYU match up this year?

Well this can only help: Shane Callahan, CU Buffs transfer, eligible to compete in 2014 season

Quote:
The NCAA has waived the mandatory one-year waiting period for offensive lineman Shane Callahan, who transferred to CU Boulder from Auburn University in July, meaning the sophomore will be eligible to compete during the 2014 season.

. . .

"We're happy for Shane and his family that the NCAA declared him eligible to play this year," MacIntyre said in a statement of the 6-foot-6, 300-pound player. "It's great to have another state of Colorado athlete on our football team."

In Parker, Callahan played for Chaparral High School, which has enjoyed a long line of athletic tackles. The team was 7-4 his senior year, 9-3 his junior season, and 8-3 his sophomore and freshman years.

. . .

He was an All-Colorado and All-State (5A) selection by The Denver Post as a senior, ranked as the state's No. 5 overall prospect in the postseason top 15. Rivals.com ranked him as the nation's No. 22 offensive tackle and the 212th-ranked player nationally.

Something to chew on...

As a Utah fan, I'm perfectly fine with that prediction. The lower the expectations, the better. Stanford overlooked us last year and look what happened there.

Pretty sure they can stop an Alabama transfer and a redshirt O line.

That was a fun season. Better luck next year, Buffs. And how about the coaching staff ditches the awful looking white raincoats. Wtf?

Nice win for the Cougs. UConn is pretty bad, but with so many starters out for BYU, I'll definitely take the win!

Yea, both Utah and BYU had easy games to start out. The Utes should win most ( if not all ) of these first few non-PAC 12 games, but once they enter into the PAC-12 side of the schedule ass whoopings will be coming our way. I'm just hoping the Utes can at the very last finish 6-6 and get into a lame bowl game. But will have to find a way to beat at least two PAC-12 teams. They should beat the Buffs ( sorry Colorado ) and beat somebody else at home.
Too bad we don't have BYU this year to beat on. Oh well, I can cheer on both teams since we won't meet up at all this year. Kind of a weird feeling, knowing there won't be a "Holy War" this year or next.
Good luck to both teams, and to the Buffs too, just not when they play Utah.

Michigan and Fresno will both be tough games for the U.
