Must be final finishing thing. They can't be leaving them that way....can they?

That, plus I think there is no vertical thermal separation... cold air that gets into a corner on the 4th floor can travel to the 30th, whereas a window removed on 4th is letting air into only 4th.

They could still do it, as maybe it isn't THAT much an effect, but I think that's why they were left untouched for now.

Crazy that they are still working high up there in the evenings with the windchills the way they are now. How do they keep warm when they are totally exposed to the wind? I know if I'm handling screws, I need my gloves to be off.

I spent a winter glazing the airport terminal. To answer your question, they don't keep warm. They're colder than you can imagine and hate their lives, but they're tough, they likely have a deadline to hit before Christmas, and overtime pays.

As far as I know at -35 including windchill they can walk right off a job site no questions asked. I'm sure we all agree that's fair. They've taken many days off due to high winds in summer already.

But they're prepared. They've done this before and have the clothing/tools/habits needed to get something done.

Not sure if it was just the reflection, from my windshield, or just the angle of how the sun was shining, but while I was driving south on Main, just about to approach Portage and Main, I spotted on the north side of the building, at the corner where the old cladding and the new cladding meet, I see that they have stripped the old corners as well, but I'm not sure.

I wanted to take a pic, but I didn't want to get a ticket by using my cell phone while I was driving either.

I'll have to check it out to confirm if they actually are, or if anyone want to check it out and confirm, or even ask if they actually are.

The black mullion caps are now going up on the south side. Looks like work will be going on well into the winter.

How do I insert a photo on here?

Soo they're putting black mullion caps on?? WTF is that? Hopefully it doesn't look as bad as the black spandrel glass pieces.

I noticed this morning on my drive in, there were new vertical lines that were quite prominent. Couldn't get a good look at exactly what, but I'll assume the black mullion caps.

I know. Just saying hopefully the black accents they're going with look good. The black looks sort of cheap to me, to be honest. Looks suburban office park ish.

some of you guys are so critical. you hated the brown, they change it. now you hate the black caps. get over it boys. until you have the $ to make the decisions, live with it. (and yes, I know I'm going to get front row the firing line for saying that)
