Milo

It's starting to look like a building. It's been kinda slow because work has been stopped in the cold of February. Not that workers would be scared of cold, but managers wouldn't think it's worth setting up any particular equipment to face it. This is no Russia nor Canada, real cold never lasts for long here.

First little bit of the cladding put on.

Can't tell how I like or dislike it yet, that just looks like a sample, a try or something like they seem to always do at an early step of a construction. It looks a little unusual I guess.
Many more pics of the work on defense-92.fr that seems to have some sort of reporter access to some workspaces in la Défense.

I like the cladding. A nice break from pure glass (even though pure glass is my favourite)

Panels are either glass or aluminium alloy. I hope this thing brings good results in energy consumption cause that's what it must mostly be about, given the local market communication. It's made in France and looks better than what we've got from China for Carpe Diem. I'm satisfied about its looks so far, thinking about jobs in this country.

Yet another close focus on the facade, that's so very essential.
These pics are of a pretty good quality:

Thanks to Indy G on pss-archi.eu

Okay, many on here might like all glazed facades better, I think this is nonetheless the best material we've got in la Défense in a too long while.
Notice how it keeps the tone of the Ariane tower stuck to it.

Very nice looking tower. There are pores in the metal sheet covering the building, it adds some texture to an otherwise very sleek tower.

I love the detailing that is going into this building from the inset balconies to the cladding. Very classy project.
