It's something like that provided the units sell for under $300 or $250 (thousand) i think.

Why does our newest project not have a thread? Or what about Canadinns HSC? Or that one that people don't like, in Kildonan?

According to someone more familiar with this project, that rendering may not be completely accurate.

hope so... that rendering is very 1960's. hopefully the actual tower doesn't look like that.

I don't think it looks too bad, but then I live in Thunder Bay. According to our new courthouse, the year is 1974 and our city is in suburban California.

Brownstone

They kind of look like a futuristic version of Brownstone blocks. I wish Winnipeg had some of that architecture style. I really do love it.

No kidding. Streets packed with brownstones are wonderful; needless to say when we go to NY, I am in heaven.

^^ 30 000 000 seems kind of cheap for a project of this scale.. I would have thought somewhere in the 50-60 million dollar range.. or am I wayyy off?

A Winnipeg developer is building two seven storey condos and an eight storey hotel in Thunder Bay for 60 million (about 20 million per building) so I'm guessing that they're seriously low-balling the estimate on that building. A 22 storey building should cost about the same per floor. A bit less if you consider only one foundation has to be built (though it looks like the footprint of that building is about the same size as the three we're getting). I would say 50 to 60 million is a pretty good guess. 30 million is too low.

yes, $100/s.f. is not realistic in today's market.

what you fail to realize though is that the budget is actually $29 990 000...the other $10 000 will go to purchasing a delorean so the developer can go back in time and construct the building in 1992.

Where did DCN get $30 million from? Just a number to post for posting sake?

Question: What do you get if you lob off 10 stories and eliminate both the commercial and townhouse aspect?
