Some really excellent photos on this page. I love the distant aerials of Vancouver and Montreal. I wish we could get one for every city taken from about the same vantage point. It seems like a useful way to compare built environments.

The Philadelphia photos are great. What an underrated city.

Why the LOL? Why is it funny, and what's your point?

I've never liked Dubai's linear skyline; But in that first aerial it is finally showing some nice width as well which makes it look more like a normal city and not just one highway with supertalls along the sides.

Didn't scroll all the way down to see this one before. Anyways, this one I'll put here since it does cover a big part of the Island and this thread needs another amazing NYC pic.

That's one of the best shots of SF I've ever seen. I love the way the shadows translate the topography. I wonder how long it will be before development in Oakland goes full-speed Brooklyn.

I said the same thing, only times 10. At first, I was like is this a pic of the Andromeda galaxy? But then I realized, o wait, its NYC!

Epic shot indeed. The gold standard essentially.

Ran across this Miami one the other day. Shows Brickell/Downtown, Edgewater north of that, North Bay Village, the Sunny Isles/Aventura/Hallandale Beach/Hollywood megacluster, and even downtown Fort Lauderdale (mostly obscured by a cloud just north of the Fort Lauderdale airport if you know where to look for it). Too bad Miami Beach is cut off

Not a city we see often. HD and fullscreen is a must! Maybe even putting on a song, and muting the helicopter noise. Try this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Zs1J-Tk-J4 and then play the video while muting the video itself. Makes for an nice helicopter ride from your pc.

I never really knew what Mumbai looked like, but it looks pretty nice actually. Almost reminds me of Bangkok in terms of the cityscape. A mix of Sydney and Bangkok.

Anyone here been to Shanghai? How is its street life? Crazy and non-stop like Tokyo, Seoul, or Hong Kong?

The amazing part about Tokyo is that a good portion of it was destroyed during the firebombing and it rebuilt stronger than ever.

Even Hiroshima did too:
