i am in love with this tower/towers(IFC of course), skyline(top 5 in the world no questions) and this city(the next evolution of the modern 21 century city) this city is on its way to greatness to be sure.

^Damn that last pic looks amazing. The facade looks incredible from that angle. I think this is going to look a lot better than people were expecting because of the facade.

Yeah, it's all bright and shiny during the night ... let's have a look at a normal day:

The tower itself is great though.

Yep the new Zhujiang CBD was plonked down in the middle of a working class district on the edge of the old centre. Pretty much everything you see that isn't a skyscraper is slated for destruction, despite spirited campaigns to save them. The 'urban villages' of illegal buildings built in the 90s are now emptied, which is a loss to the traditional Chinese streetlife. Some surreal pics from a few years back of Xiancun village:

i dont think i know of any other city that has so many individual buildings of such high quality. just scanning over this city's CBD will bring you to the conclusion that this city has got most other cities beat hands down in this respect. it seems like all of the modern buildings are of the highest quality. some of them are buildings that are themselves great masterpieces. not to exclude the fact that this skyline is without doubt, one of the worlds tallest. i could go on and on but i just want to say that imo new york and chicago aren't that far off for this city and that in itself is saying a whole lot.
