The Federal budget doesn't allocate 300 time more funds to transit agencies than it gives Amtrak. Why are we always discussing giving Amtrak more funds more frequently than giving transit agencies more funds?
Bravo! I live car free and I'm a huge transit enthusiast but really dislike Amtrak for this and other reasons. Federal transit funding should be based on a formula that actually benefits the.most few rather than privileged suburbanites around DC and the north east.
