Transit agencies using innovative ways to put their system maps on the Web?

I'm working on a new map of all Chicago-area transit and thinking about innovative ways to make it available online, including mobile devices. Most agencies just seem to put a massive PDF up on their website. I'm interested in learning about agencies around the world who've made online (possibly zoomable) full system maps that clearly show all the bus lines.

Note: I'm not asking about mashups that just put shapefiles or KML files of the lines on Google Maps, because those don't show things like route number shields, or easily allow you to see where three bus lines are on the same street. Nor am I asking about London-style diagrams of only the rail system. I'm looking for examples of fairly traditional transit system maps that use Zoomify, HTML5/SVG, or other innovative ways of making a slippy/zoomable map.

Not sure. Unfortunately many of the innovations in user interface come from companies in America, where there is a near-universal disdain for buses among the educated elite that writes software.

I'd love to see an app that creates spider maps showing transit connections for any point in the city. We've still only scratched the surface of what mobile devices can do to improve the user experience on transit systems.

WRTA has a wonderful live map of the buses in their system.

The downside is that you can only see a maximum of 5 lines at a time.

As for a system map with all the lines on it, there's this.

It's not really zoomable, but you can click on various destinations to see suggested routes.
