After 2 and a half years, we deserve it man.

Jeez! This project might as well have been in the proposals section all this time, as it took so long to get out of the hole. Thankfully we have enough projects going on right now, that we don't have to care about any one project in particular. Especially important for slow moving projects like U Condos and even FIVE Condos.

With all the construction going on in Toronto it has probably left a few sites with minimal crews. The other developers have probably poached from Five and U, hence the slow slow pace. This happened in Calgary 2006-2007. Also sites made contracts with cement mixers to supply them, leaving some sites to have only 1 or 2 pours a month when cement mixers had extra time.

This thing probably hasn't moved an inch since the Dec. 8th photo.

^Not true. I went by a couple of days ago and the crane was pointing in a different direction. A significant development, relatively speaking.

Have they put in a new piece of rebar since Caltrane74 posted that picture on Dec 8?

In 3 months, the cranes have changed positions. That's about it.

Thanks for the update Caltrane74. I think they are cutting the rebar with hacksaws. Wow this really is progressing at a snails pace.

I walked by U Condos last night, it was dark so I didn't bother taking a photo...

Its moving substantially above ground level now, will be very evident in my forthcoming pictures.

Wow, did a time paradox hit U condos? It looks like they moved 10 years ahead. Maybe my grandchildren will see the completion of these towers after all, well maybe only the exterior completion.
