I put this into a separate category because it can be harder to classify these houses according to one specific style. Rowhouses, townhouses and semi-detached often incorporate elements of many Victorian styles. It could probably be said that the "Bay and Gables" commonly found in Southern Ontario is its own style, but much of this would probably be called "Queen Anne."
Both Toronto and Hamilton have a lot of bay and gables and semi-detached duplexes. Semi-detached homes are also found extensively in London. There are many similarities between Hamilton and Toronto residential architecture, but many differences considering how close the two cities are to one another. One major difference is that parapeted firewalls are usually visible between units in Hamilton rowhouses, while Toronto rowhouses usually have more continuous roofs. Toronto has a lot of Second Empire while Hamilton has a more Italianate flavour. Occasionally you can find housing that is almost identical in each city.

Rowhouses are quite rare in Southern Ontario outside of the larger cities, but here are a couple examples:

These 1.5 storey houses with intricate carved wood gables are unique to London. There are many central neighbourhoods composed of these little houses.

Nice pictures. I love the rowhouses, duplexes, and townhouses of the big Ontario cities. They're so much different than the rowhouses and similar houses in this area, yet even having rowhouses and duplexes makes it feel like just a small taste of the Mid-Atlantic region.

Thanks for the replies. There's nothing like a solidly intact Victorian residential neighbourhood. My personal favourites are Cabbagetown in Toronto and Stinson in Hamilton.
