Is LA the Only City That Has Valet Parking at Strip Malls?

It's got to be an LA thing, right? I'm not talking upscale "Lifestyle Center" (what marketing major came up with that silly term??), but a bonafide, rinky-dink little mini-mall that was built on the site of a gas station type of strip mall, with valet parking.

Since I was a child, I have long associated LA strip malls with dry cleaners, nail salons, liquor stores, donut and yogurt shops, and THE BEST GODDAMNED ETHNIC FOOD ANYWHERE WEST OF THE MISSISSIPPI. Last night, my partner and I had close-to-midnight Thai food because well, we were hungry. So we went to one of our go-to late night Thai restaurants; this particular one is open 24-hours, and the strip mall it's in (you got it!), has valet parking. We ate, and I also took random photos.

Pull forward please. Sorry, you can't park it yourself.

I been to this strip mall many times over the years, it has always been a busy place, but in recent years the parking lot has gotten really bad and one can never get a parking spot. The last time I was there I picked up the sticky rice and mango at the Thai Patio and it was delicious. I refuse to pay for parking in that lot so I end up circling around area for a while and end up getting a spot right in front of the shopping center.

Usually I pick up my Thai dessert from Bhan Kanom Thai but they had sold out for the day. I’ve been going to this place for years for dessert and now that I live in the valley it’s a distance to drive to Hollywood so I was a little disappointed when I got there and was told they were out. I decided to try it at thai patio, the sticky rice and mango is really good there as well. I also found out that Thai Patio carries it all year long as opposed to many Thai establishments only make it during the summer season A few times I’ve even taken the subway with my dad to pick up some dessert from this place.

I don't know but San Francisco apparently has valet parking garages serving several Trader Joe's markets (I'm guessing these are for the overflow who can't get into TJ's own lot):

I AM A TRADER JOE’S PARKING LOT AND I AM HERE TO DESTROY YOU

Actually, my own condo building is mixed use, with retail on the ground floor including an art cinema theater, and we have valet parking for non-residents.

I saw valet parking for fast food restaurants when I was in Lima, Peru! (I think it was Burger King IIRC)

That Prik King looks tasty!

You simply cannot have a free for all with parking in these densely populated neighborhoods like Koreatown where many of these businesses are extremely popular and stay open very late. Plus with valet they park the cars themselves and maximize the spaces and room on the lot. Cool shots.

It’s necessary in Koreatown on a weekend night.

Houston - annoying when there is often a half-empty lot with cones blocking, forcing you to use the valet. Very little on-street parking so few options available.
