a couple of days back - the autumn sunsets are returning, though the clouds were nearly all vapour trails..

London is not a museum. It has always been a commercial city (it was actually founded by Roman traders, not as a garrison town). It is more like New York than many of the other leading cities of Europe, it just has 2,000 years of history layered on top of each other instead of a few hundred years.

One of the few towers that looks crystal clear almost 100 percent identical to the actual legitimate renders.

So now that it is completed - what will be the next big project for London - i understand the Bishopsgate tower was scaled back in height and is on hold. Shame - I hope London can have another nice looking Skyscraper to marvel at Taller than the Shard. Skys the limit!

I was always hoping considering the street grid of London, that one day London gets a 2,000 footer identical to the Shanghai Tower, BUT that's a stretch considering flight regulations. But anyone on this forum would agree that a Shanghai Tower like-design would look fantastic in London.

Anyone on this forum? I like the Shard effect because it stands as an effective encouragement, but if you ask me, I don't think they need any tallest building in the world, that's just foolish pride or whatever like that basically. They know it, they're more subtle than that. What they need is denser infill to complete their skyline. And that's not just me. Ask UNESCO advisers for instance, their opinion must be close to mine.

^ I never said the Shanghai Tower-like design was to be near the Shard or even the CBD, it could be near Canary Warf, or a new developing district.

This building is a masterpiece. And did I see this right? Is the re-cladding of Guy's Hospital underway?

I wonder if more people from Greater London are warming to this beauty.

It's so perfectly suited for the city in my opinion.
