"What are the conditions?"

I guess we never heard what the conditions were that had to be met. I assume that it is public information?

Sorry I wasn't paying attention. Cold already posted the latest designs in post #143.

Glad we are getting a park. Too bad the LRT station is planned for there - when is planned at NorQuest 2 blocks up. Chopping 9 feet off the park on the south-side in the "open green space" is significant and does not leave much green space for the public. Once the LRT Station is connected it should shade the little grass there is to help kill it. I would have cut the "community" garden which does get sun and is away from the LRT for public use. Instead its for use by handful of people planting their garden. The dogs get better green space than the public. I see more minus points than plus points in this design. Hey, its my opinion.

^Certainly it is. We did extensive consultation over 7+ years and 3 things were clear.

1. Green space and a need for places to eat, relax, read, chat.
2. The need for a dog friendly area.
3. Community garden demand.

The allocation of space is more the issue. I think too much has been set aside for community gardens. I have no problem with dog space. And I worry about the impact of the LRT station there and wish the stop was removed and pushed up a block. Otherwise the whole park will be obscured from view - and its a park to be seen. I get that its City land and "convenient" from a planning perspective...but its not desirable. In any event I have moved on...bigger fish to fry in growing downtown than that park.
