There's a railing installed four levels above the "white" floor that has tracks for the platform you can see workers on at the top of the white floor. It seems to go all around the building.

They are busy working today, however I couldn't tell exactly what the workers on the platform were doing.

The rails are for swing stages. The workers on them are mounting the attachment clips for the glazing frame which is starting to go in shortly.

Thanks for the proper name for the "swing stage" - was having trouble googling it.

Was hoping they were doing work to prepare for the glazing.

I hope this is true. We will have to wait and see.

At this point, I can't see anything else they can do other than what they're doing now with the floors inside the tarps, and the lower floors. The remote staging site for the girders and floors on Warman and Lag is pretty much populated and are ready to go. Also as someone mentioned earlier, the glazing is about to begin.

Further crane erection is imminent, one way or another!!

OT - It’s been that way for a while there. 8th avenue place is a ghost town to what it was when it was brand new

On topic - 100 ft by next week? Nice! Will look prominent in the skyline. Already does but that just gives it the extra “oomph”. Anyone have an idea how high it is now? Must be about 100ft at present

It's around 70-80m, as 80 is max unsupported height.

So it'll be getting around 40% taller depending on exact values.

12th floor surface tarps removed...that's a good sign.

With the old atrium space renos. Are the actually doing anything more with the exterior other than replacing the windows? With the scaffolding down, it looks finished with the same gold colour and no fancy bits like the renders showed.

They replaced the windows on the front facing Portage a couple years back. Seems now they just replacing the ones on the sides. It would seem silly to have another contractor come in, put up scaffold, and then replace the panels separately.

There’s more to come on that building. They will more than likely use a suspended platform for the remaining work.

Steel contractor NASE allegedly walking away from the project permanently this Friday. Allegedly haven’t been getting paid by GC. Unknown if another contractor is immediately replacing them.
