Nice photos.

The city seems fairly well-preserved.

Thanks. Yes it's well preserved, and a few new things too.
I've also added a few which got left out.

stunning photos

I can't decide if I'd like to see the overhead wires removed. Perhaps some beautification too... fancy light posts, trees etc. The multi-colored buildings look so vibrant, but the street still looks depressing.

^There are a lot of streets like this one, some are better "beautified". There are some with wires removed I believe, and the fancy lamposts & trees etc. - and it's winter. Remember it's not Disneyworld, it's the real thing.

Thanks for the photos, I'm relocating to St. John's this fall (doing my Masters at MUN) and I've been trying to find as many photos as possible to get a feel for the city. From the looks of things, it'll be a nice place to be settled in for a couple years.

I visited St. John's a few years ago, just after a major snowstorm. It was weird time to fall in love with a place. My next visit will be in the summer.

Wow, these are incredible photos. I really do hope to visit St. John's some day. I had planned a trip there in late October 2005, but the plans fell through just a couple weeks before I was to go. Thanks for posting these!

The funniest part about that is while I was looking at the photos it reminded me of Halifax! (Which I visted during a giant snowstorm)

I don't know anyone who thinks St.John's is too big, but there are people who don't like that St.John's gets all the attention and growth. Also, most people in St.John's don't live in the quaint downtown, but in the suburbs. The downtown population is supposed to be around 10,000.

@ Kwajo & Canasian; will look forward to you posting some pictures and news when you relocate there.
