Nice photos, St. Louis is looking good. The casino is flashy.

Nice set! Looks like the weather kicked ass while you were there.

The views from the City Museum roof are great. I can't wait for something to get built on these parking lots:

Also, thinking on what the St. Louis riverfront could have been fills me with sadness...

I had a free hotel room at the Casino and some other comps so it made it worth the drive from the Western part of the state!

I visited the Art Museum at forest park, went to the Galleria, went to the Ameristar in St. Charles and visited some family in O'fallon. I am sure I only got to see a portion of what STL has to offer.

Yeah it was a beautiful and hot July day. It would be nice to see some buildings in place of the parking lots. I saw that there was a lot of redevelopment going on around the Arch, I am curious to see how that will turn out

Very cool photos! Hopefully you can get around to some of the other great urban neighborhoods next time- you'll be blown away!

Great pics.

I for one have never been much of a fan of the skyline view from the eastside, at least from the ground. It looks great from the air, but due to the low elevation of Downtown STL, almost in a hole/valley, it makes it look smaller. It looks so much better when you are driving across the Poplar St. Bridge. It is strange how the STL skyline looks so impressive from some angles and smaller from other angles, due to the topography. It is also very spread out, all the way to Clayton. If it was not so spread out, it would be way more dense that it is...and it is pretty dense from the river to Clayton, with the exception of Forest Park.

Yeah, I think it looks much better coming towards in from the north/northeast down in the valley (or on a viaduct) on the Illinois side or coming across one of the northerly bridges. Hardly anyone often comes into St. Louis that way, unless you are getting off work from the steel mill in granite city (yeah I know strip clubs but that's further south than what im really talking about). I'll be the first to say that St. Louis has a terribly anemic downtown skyline for the size of the region, even though it has an unusually elongated and large "regional" skyline.
