What kind of backlash could this have with condo owners backing out do to the completion being slowed down? I would imagine if there is somthing in their contract that if there is a delay in completion that the buyers could pull out on their purchase? I'm not necessarily saying that they would with this being sought after trophy property and I'm sure their interior design team is well on their way already. But its possible right?
There are 43 skyscrapers currently under construction that are taller than this. What would be the reason for world wide recognition? Architecture awards and the like wouldn't occur until completion.
I would argue that it deserves global recognition because of Studio Gang
That is exactly what they are. They are essentially the same systems as the platforms climbing ahead to form / pour the shearwalls, reusing the same anchor points. Except instead of working on the forms from the top platform, the window installer will work from the lowest trailing level installing the glass.

The bottom 3 or 4 brackets were left in place, looks like the next ones are anchored from the top as the gallery climbs.

Expanding the deck/plaza - this is on the South side, at the same level as upper Wacker on the North.
Ground level (the overexposed brightness in the back is the river walk)
Looking up

I was going to ask about the south plaza expansion. I like how they went with diagonal beams, kinda replicating the diagonal supports on the northside. Are these on the south going to be exposed? I think I remember them being covered with paneling in the early renders but not sure if those were the final design?

Form follows function - or - cantilevers are a bitch.

NICE. I love how you can see it taking shape from what you can see in the rendering. I think the biggest portion is right now up to around 36 or 37 stories built.
I don't know if I missed it lately, but in case it wasn't mentionned, the new webcam is pretty cool. A gigapixel type of camera, can even view other construction sites in the vincinity
