I've been to 11 on that list and will add two more in the next 6 months (Tokyo and Rome). I'd sure like to see several of the others someday.

Olympic season is upon us once again...

I think it's safe to say Sochi will have a very low count of SSP forumers having visited the place. Moscow itself has the lowest count on the poll with only 12 forumers having been there.

I've only been to Atlanta, Los Angeles, Montreal and St. Louis.

I've been to Salt Lake City International Airport, but I never left the airport, so that doesn't count.

All except Moscow. I'm old and my business was global. Spent 15% of life in a plane.

I was driving in to SLC the night they announced they had gotten the '02 Winter Olympics. Lights, banners on buildings, and IIRC, fireworks! It was a special moment, to be sure!

Glad to see this thread still around!

I'm guessing next to no one has been to the Korean city hosting this months games?

Los Angeles still maintains the lead. With it hosting the 2024 games, I can only expect it to pull away.

^^^ LA is actually hosting the 2028 games. Paris is hosting 2024.

Hopefully I can add both to my list along with London.

If I counted airports (which I didn't), I could include Amsterdam and Mexico City, too.
Since this original post, I've added Mexico City and London.

Cities I've visited that have also hosted the Olympics:

Vancouver
Calgary
Montreal
Mexico City
Rio de Janeiro
London
Barcelona
Rome
Innsbruck
And soon to add Tokyo & Nagano

Cities I've actually been to during the Olympics:
0

Aside from perhaps some subway lines & other transit-type infrastructure that may have been expedited due to the games, I can't say the Olympic influence has otherwise been particularly palpable in any of those cities.
