^ Guardian is the only tower in this city and quite possibly in this continent that is using Structural Glass framing system using steel spider clips on glass fins at its 2storey penthouse levels 500 feet above the ground!!
The type of minimalist glazing you see on all the office tower lobby levels of several recent built but nothing way up in the high upper floors of a residential condo.

I suppose these are sturdy enough to handle the nastiest chinook wind loads during the winter season. Heck This may probably be the nicest penthouse in the entire city.

My rating for Guardian has now gone up at least a full star to 9.5/10.
Very clever design feature done by IBI Group, hopefully this will help give more creative variety to future condo penthouses being built in this city.

Are those the final colors on the podium?

No, around the windows on the podium will be white panels. The colour you see is from the insulation panels.

I'm not sure if this implies it is a really really good thing or a really really bad thing.

Gives the tower a 9.5 so clearly it's a good thing.

As far as design goes, some cladding system is not going to have a large impact on my decision. The sub penthouse, penthouses and massive elevator overrun are looking dazed and confused as they move towards completion. Despite the heavy, mismatched podium, I was really liking how these towers were shaping up half a year ago.

I wasn't sure if the extra points were for innovation outside of the box thinking or for genuinely good design principles.

What about the sub penthouses and penthouses are looking dazed and confused to you? From street level what I can see the penthouse units seem pretty nice looking, but I may be missing some details.

None of the design elements blend harmoniously together. It just doesn't look good. South side is the worst.
