It's hard to think of a "Worst skyscraper design" thread without a cameo by New York's favorite roach motel architect, Gene Kaufman. These are some of the beauties u/c around NYC:

Those things look like they had unholy carnal relations with that Edmonton turder.

Lest we forget, here is Le Corbusier's utopian plan for the historic center of Paris:

Okay, I'm a freak: I love the Angel City proposals.

Seriously though, can you imagine the cost in todays market of the steel for this project? There was an earlier reference, and joke, about this looking good in San Diego. While that might be the best, we should think of some even more absurd locations for this project. How about:

Salt Lake City
Indianapolis
Tulsa?

Strangely, I can see it working in a place like Pittsburgh. How about Gary, IN?

maybe someone else can help me out with the render, but this horribleness was proposed for the yonkers, NY waterfront. It was multicolored like a circus tent except 20 something stories tall. yuck

Even Vegas would shun it.

HOWEVER, if this building were to be toned down like ALOT, I could see it in Atlanta or Charlotte.
