I wonder if the footprint was really that small if it would constitute as the tiniest skyscraper in the U.S.? It would not surprise me if highrise footprints being that small say in cities like Tokyo. I've seen lots of pictures with what looks like buildings with several stories that are like toothpicks.

Ok, I'm an idiot for my presumption, but that's a pretty big footprint for an elevator shaft. And I've stood below one of those pencil thin towers in NYC jdawgboy mentioned and frankly, they look ridiculous. They could probably fit inside this elevator shaft pit.

The building's "core" may be a better name for it because in addition to elevators it could also include stairs & utility related infrastructure.

The tiniest skyscraper in the US would be in Wichita Falls.

It is possible that situation sparked the implementation of the reflection rules.

Me too I'd actually like to see a gold tower in Austin again.

Me too. But for what ever reason it was replaced, up close you could see it wasn't aging well. There was staining that didn't look that good. But when I arrived in Austin, it really stood out along with the BoA. It looked really cool actually. Still holding out for a tower of a different color.

Based on the last photo update, they could be building the columns by now. If anyone can confirm that we can change the status to U/C.

It would have been cool to come across this video several weeks ago. But better late than never. From the Demo contractor's LinkedIn:
