Charles City, VA

Charles City is an unincorporated community in Charles City County, on the Lower Neck or Lower Peninsula in Virginia. The population is around 135.

Charles City is the seat of Charles City County, a county with a sparse population dependent on agriculture. The county was one of the 8 original Virginia counties created in 1634. Over the centuries, plantations along the James River were the area's source of wealth. Today, Charles City is a small area on Virginia Route 5, between the bridge crossing near Hopewell and Williamsburg.

I know from here. I am a contributor to that website myself for several states, although not for this house.
