Hines and Skanska should be the first ones knocking on Immelt's door. And Hines already has a building coming out of the ground.

So where on earth are Houston leaders? Why are they not doing anything to try to land GE? Are they dropping the ball... Again?!

Have you really looked into this, and contacted city leaders/staff to get their feedback?

As I've mentioned before here, one can always become a "leader" himself or herself. It's better than complaining.

I would assume the people in charge of marketing the millions of sq ft of class A space are pushing the HQ relocation.

With oil prices around $60 a barrel, IPO activity is starting up again. Which could drive more demand for office space...

Add that to the plans for the Exxon Chemical site, and that's a whole lot of office space in a submarket that doesn't appear to need it at the moment. But another place for GE to locate.
