The Greenpoint waterfront is looking to get yet another major development. Permits have been filed for a 33-story building at 65 Private Drive, in Brooklyn, New York. The nearest subway station, seven blocks away, is the Greenpoint Avenue station, serviced by the G train. M&H Realty Partners will be responsible for development.

The 290-foot tall structure will yield 366,600 square feet of space, with 362,980 square feet dedicated to residential use, and 3,630 square feet for commercial-retail space on the ground floor. The site would create 410 apartments, averaging 885 square feet apiece, indicating rentals. 396 parking spaces will be made available below ground.

Tenants will have storage, laundry rooms, lobby space, indoor recreation space on the first and fifth floor, and outdoor recreation space on the fourth, seventh, and tenth floor. Private terraces and patios will also be included for some units on floors seven through ten.

SLCE Architects will be responsible for the design.

65 Private Drive’s Façade Nears Completion At Calyer Place In Greenpoint, Brooklyn

Curtain wall installation is nearing completion on 65 Private Drive, a 40-story residential building and the tallest component of the four-tower Calyer Place master plan from Cooper Robertson & Partners in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Designed by SLCE Architects and developed by M&H Realty, the 439-foot-tall structure will yield 500 rental units. The property is located at the intersection of West and Oak Streets along the East River.

Exterior work has continued steadily since our last update in August, and the glass envelope now covers the entirety of the residential floors with the exception of a strip on the wide southern elevation where the construction elevator remains attached. The mechanical extension is also in the process of receiving its exterior treatment on this profile.

65 Private Drive’s amenities include a basketball court, bowling alley, screening room, music room, fitness center, an indoor swimming pool and spa, children’s playroom, an indoor dog run, and outdoor recreational space.

The first tower at 65 Private Drive is on track to be completed sometime in the second half of 2023.
