Spooky stuff! Thanks for sharing!

For anyone who have played Call of Duty 4 - these pics are scarily simular to the Pripyat levels in the game - someone did their homework!

The prices depends on the size of the group, the more people, the cheaper it becomes for each person. In post #5 you could find more information.

Wow! Fascinating! THanks for sharing. Also look into Robert Polidori: Chernobyl.Steidl Press, 2003, (I think). Large format photos, which show great detail.

Thanks a lot Чорнобиль for the photos. BW ones are simply great.
But tell me something, are there restrictions about the time you can stay in the contaminated area? I'm talking about the city and civilian buildings.

Thanks for your posting of really difficult to see the very historical place.
Those photos would be telling us that there are so many things to learn.

I'm pretty sure there are none as there are still a few people living in the peripheral contamination zone. Live there all you want, it's just that you'll croak rather soon.

Tremendous photos. I've always been fascinated by Pripyat.

A dispirited ferris wheel languishing in the midst of a nuclear exclusion zone. It doesn't get much more haunting that that.

New Chernobyl Confinement Shelter is Largest Movable Structure on Land

Quote:
April 26, 2016, marked the 30th anniversary of the Chernobyl disaster, the world's worst nuclear accident. It left 30 people dead and a trail of contamination across large areas of Ukraine, Russia, and Belarus. Though the lingering effects of the accident and the long-term casualties may never be accurately quantified, the aftermath of the tragic event led to perceptible changes in nuclear safety measures across Europe. In the immediate wake of the explosion, the city of Pripyat was evacuated and remains abandoned to this day.
