The original plan for 400 N Elizabeth fell through, the new plan looks better. It will now be twin towers, 395 ft and 375 ft, with 724 total units

Glad to see something substantial moving forward at 400 N. Elizabeth. It looks like they are going to keep some kind of activated pedestrian paseo between Elizabeth and Ogden, which was a nice benefit of the stalled lab project proposed for the site. Burnett will approve this, best of luck with the financing.

These give off a "Fultonized" Cirrus & Cascade vibe. Better than the previous proposal imo. Build them!

Does anyone know what the floor count is for these two 400 Elizabeth towers? Also are these SCB designs? Apologies if this information is obvious and I'm just not seeing it. . .

So looks like it will be a quiet new year for anything significant involving height... outside of 400 north lakeshore drive really not much else to look fward to..and anything we do look foward too gets downsized just like the spire site... This city no longer has that mojo of reaching great heights...feel like Toronto has that spirit now and is what Chicago used to be like 50 plus years ago

Or..... It's because lending has tightened up and the commercial real estate market is a shit show right now.

Or...that for economical reasons super tall's (for business) make near zero sense. The repurpose of the JHTC was the gift of the year. Chicago should be thanking it's lucky stars that Google is on the case. I hope to see more mindful redevelopment in 2024. LaSalle Street would be a fantastic shot in the arm if it comes to fruition.

no cause even when things were hot before tightened lending we really never had anything comparable to NY or Toronto...modest size highrise 300-500ft range seems to be the safe zone...with occasional larger buildings scattered 600-900... i was thinking by this time the 600ft to 800ft building would become normal standard developments in rivernorth, streeterville, gold coast, and loop area.

Jeez, chill out, dude. You, nor I nor anyone know what is around the corner for next year. And if borrowing costs ease up in 2024, that can mean a lot of new projects starting up. Relax.
