Here is an older shot I took at the beginning of May when I was in New York. Of my shots, this one best shows how the glass will reflect the sky and surroundings once it's complete.

In case you're curious, you can check out other pictures I took on that trip, many of which are from the WTC site on my Flickr account.

Great job on that. That looks like a photo of the finished building.

Upon completion, 1 WTC will be the second-tallest building in the world. Considering the recent trend of China and Dubai building supertalls that have no prayer of being economically feasible anytime soon, that's pretty impressive.

New York and America are going to be just fine.

No it isn't, taipei 101 is still taller, always will be, and so is that huge building in Mecca. It will be 5th tallest.

You're right about Abraj Al-Bait.

Taipei 101 = 1,670 feet
1 WTC = 1,776 feet

Not exactly. In 2013 it'll be the third tallest in pinnacle height with 541m (The Great Khalifa has 828m and Abraj al-Bait 601m) and the ninth tallest in roof height with 417m (The Great Khalifa has ?m, Abraj al-Bait ?m, SWFC 492m, International Commerce Center 484m, Taipei 101 448m, Willis Tower 442m, King Kong Finance Tower 441m and GIFC has 437m).

I forgot about the British clock tower in the middle of the desert. Third by pinnacle height is not bad.

this is a long debate, some people count the spire with is 1,776 and others count the roof witch is 1,368

it will be the third tallest at completion, but not for long. it will soon be surpassed by Shanghai tower, that 1800 footer in Seoul, that one in Shenzhen, and the india tower in Mumbai.

And you forgot the Pentominium in Dubai. But there is one bright thing for 1WTC, the Pingan center in Shenzen might very well suffer the fate of the Chicago Spire cause it's on-hold. Just as the India Tower iirc.
