MONTRÉAL :: Diagrams

This thread is to be used for discussions related to the Montreal skyscraper diagram. There are 160 drawings for the 818 buildings (10 floors+) included in the Montreal database.

I suggest starting out with an achievable target, and if that goes well, we can have a more ambitious target.

Perhaps, to begin with, we should ensure that a decent drawing exists for all buildings with a verified height over 100m, and all buildings over 30 stories tall?

Unfortunately, my skills for this sort of task are non-existent..

It appears as though we have two active artists: G.S MTL and Matb. Le1000 and Joel B have also done some diagrams. Aside from that most of them were done several years ago (Serge Bill Mocarsky, FRED etc).

Yeah! I made a post on another forum about buildings that also need to be height changed or drawn:

"Well, after that La Presse article, here is the list of buildings that have to be drawn (that have an official height in m or ft.)
1) Univers - 130m
2) Icone Phase 1 - 145m
3) Icone Phase 2 - 109m
4) Le Peterson - 105m
5) Ilot Overdale - 120m
6) Le Victoire - 95m

Buildings that need to be heightened or lowered:
1) Le Roccabella Phase I - 147m
2) Le Roccabella Phase II - 147m
3) Tour Avenue des Canadiens - 167m <--- Not Official Yet
4) Altoria - 130m
5) Altitude - 124m
6) Le V (Marriott) - 138m

*This is obviously not the ENTIRE list, just to my knowledge. Fell free to add.

http://skyscraperpage.com/cities/?buildingID=88464

http://skyscraperpage.com/cities/?buildingID=84926

http://forum.skyscraperpage.com/showthread.php?t=204465

Il manque aussi l'hotel point zero

http://forum.skyscraperpage.com/showthread.php?t=202470

What happen here guys? This message from koops that offered help went under the radar! This guy can draw and he draws a lot! He's got 636 drawings on SSP! Check out his stuff: http://skyscraperpage.com/diagrams/?searchID=52344624

We can't just ask G.S. MTL to draw all our buildings, he's been the lone ranger for awhile...

I think if we send a little shout out to our friend from Kitchener, he might just add a few buildings to our collection.

Many diagrams missing:

Icône towers
Peterson
YUL towers
Univers Towers
Le Victoire
Tour Quartier des Spectacles
Jardins Babylon
Hôtel Point-Zéro
Square-Philips

Certains complétés:
Tour Quebecor
Alexis Nihon
...

Well said Franktko!

To your list of completed buildings that need drawing, I'd also add the Montreal General Hospital and Windsor Station. Two truly huge buildings with a unique shapes and characters.

There are dozens more of recently completed and proposed/ under construction that would need drawing. The list would look quite daunting.

.
So true! I never realized that those two were missing. We could also add the Children's Hospital to that list.

It would be great to keep a list of which ones we would like to see happen first or in priority, a small list. Like, Univers and Jardins Babylon can wait compare to Icône which is closer to reality with construction starting.

My proposed list for priority (for any artists out there!!)

Icône towers
Windsor Station
Montreal General Hospital
CRCHUM
CHUM
Montreal Children's Hospital
YUL
Peterson

Anyone, please feel free to update/re-order this list...
