Good. i would rather have a name then an address for the tower. makes it seem a bit more special. what sounds better, 401 N. Wabash or Trump Tower?

With this particularly, I'd have to say 401 N Wabash.

^^^ Indeed.

^^ No, we in fact cannot. Looks like the namesake of the boy Octavian will be the month of such.....

But I don't see any caisson rigs. Groundbreaking ceremonies hardly correlate with construction starts. Wolf Point for example just recently had a groundbreaking ceremony but we know of course it has been under construction for months. And if I pondered Sam's thoughts correctly, real construction should start in October?

The mayor was at the groundbreaking today. 1.5 acres of open space, including an amphitheater. Said it was part of his vision for a more developed riverfront.

William Blair will be an "anchor tenant" with 300k sqft. Nothing was said about naming.

Really enjoyed the bit where the mayor made a joke about Palestine.

^ Ahh Rahm.

In a similar vein, I remember years ago when David Roeder, former commercial real estate reporter for the Sun-Times, reported on Fifield's first "K Station" tower - and made reference to it wisely being named "Left Bank" as opposed to the rather differently connotated "West Bank"......

Are they taking those big boulders off the barge and putting them on the site, or were they dug up when they did the reshoring of the rivers edge and being removed from the site?

Remnants of the building (which can be seen in the image above) that once stood on the site. The concrete chunks were being loaded onto the barge.

^It'd be a real shame if those bricks aren't being used for anything besides riprap.

Old brick is a dwindling resource. Waste not; want not. There is definitely a market for old Chicago brick.
