Is that fenced off area at River Point mean we're finally getting that Calatrava statue?

The accent panels kinda match the CTA bridge - nice touch.

Why does community feedback (not sure if that's really what caused it, but that's what their presentation says) always result in a design worse than what was originally proposed?

Commissioner Cox actually did call this project out for its regressive architectural progression.

Made lots of updates to the West Loop area in my 3D model. Here's a quick fly-through.

The view from West Loop is really starting to look like the 2035 skyline from I, Robot

Absolutely wild, The 78 has nothing on Fulton Market in therms of establishing a new neighborhood. Not that Fulton Market wasn't a neighborhood before, just that it has transformed into something completely different with a much greater public recognition. Would love to see development stretch along the blueline GREENLINE away from the lake, almost in the way Toronto is set up, except less car oriented. with gentrification protections/ community development for Garfield Park and Austin of course, but that's just me dreamin'.

Fulton Market as a whole is probably my favorite development of this supercycle for economic, brand, and architectural reasons. I also think time may show that the Post Office redevelopment will be a close second.

Could someone show some of the area around and including the remodel of the old Cook County Hospital? Even though that building is, to me, heavy

handed, I think that (for very personal reasons) saving it and giving it a new life is wonderful. It did as much for so many people.

I'd assume so. I posted an article a while back that explained the delay was because NASA cut in line for the fabrication and then they couldn't install it during the winter/

All of them are bad. The podium in the first one was interesting, I guess...
