Not surprising, late 90s and early 2000s were a dark time in architecture for this city

Might be a silly question but are there any time restrictions with construction being so close to a church for noise reasons? I wouldnt imagine there are but if the church can request "softer sound" times for funerals or weekday services or stuff like that. Im also wondering about parking? I have a feeling alot more church goers will be taking public transit if this thing goes through.

If I recall there will be parking for the church set aside in the below grade parking garage (around 200 spots if I recall correctly)

This looks like a gorgeous new project for Chicago-I'm also curious as to the current low rise buildings there?

Yep.

Physically connecting the two... via skybridges or just architectural elements... would help, I think.

I wonder if the shorter tower is HPA's doing. The taller one has that elegant, sophisticated Goettsch look.

They should just cancel the shorter tower and make the taller one taller.

Seriously, they should. Best idea yet. Probably won't happen but I would love it if it did.

Couldn't agree more. It would probably help the main tower sell better, and would have a bigger impact on the area which is what the alderman was looking for.
