Montreal, are any of the proposals for René-Lévesque still in the works? These look like they would be great additions to your skyline.

I'm a fan of the middle one with the unnecessarily huge fin. Can any Montreal forumer give us some more info on these?

Fun fact, in 2000 Vancouver's 10th tallest was Empire Landmark Hotel, at 115.8 meters.

Today, with proposals and u/c included, it is 5 Bental Centre at 141.1 meters.
Interesting... that means 4 years from now, Vancouver's 10th tallest building will be almost as tall as Toronto's 10th tallest from 10 years ago.

It's been a while since I heard about these proposals. Unless they are part of the huge Griffintown project, which I'm not sure. If they are, then there is an important redevelopment project on the way (they are going through the public consultation right now) We're not sure what it's going to look like though since people seem to complaint about the height a lot in the area (which is almost downtown, that is totally absurd)

That project is part of Projet du Havre, I believe it might go ahead one day when they will be done with the destruction of Bonaventure Exressway (with is in progress right now), but I have a doubt, cause I have no news about this project for over a year

Didn't know it was part of the Projet du Havre. But as Vaillant says, the expressway has to go down first (this stretch will be converted into a boulevard) Then we can talk. So I wouldn't take these proposals too seriously. But the zoning does allow this kind of density in the area.

By the way, i have acquired a base sketchup model for Toronto as well, circa 2008, if any enthusiastic forumers would like to add the new and upcoming projects, or just play with it... they can PM me for the link to the model

So you see Metro-One was not looking at the bright side of my post as it pertains to Vancouver.

Those proposals from Montreal that Andrewjm3D posted are nothing more than visions (from around 2008 I think). They were just meant to show what's possible once the Bonaventure is demolished. There is not really any concrete proposal there.

That's unfortunate because those proposals are brilliant. I really enjoy the landscaping on top of the podiums.

Aw well

Im a pretty big fan of Manulife II, I really hope it gets built. Also really like this render in general. Is Stationlands B really going to be so different in colour from Epcore tower?

The current rendering does make it look like a lighter coloured glazing than stationlands one, but who knows what how'll it will turn out if it does get built.

Now that's a proper sidewalk treatment.... and those street lamps. Pay attention Toronto!
