Very interesting (albeit heavily East Berlin-centric) set. Did you venture into the West at all?

Berlin knows how to do street art. I like the contrast of it and the relatively clean streets.

Joy Division were a great band but in the context of this Berlin thread a strange choice as the band got it's name from Jewish women in concentration camps who were kept as sex slaves . the Nazi soldiers called them the joy division. Anyway the band were from Manchester and there are some broad similarities between the two cities. At the risk of upsetting some Berlin forumers you should visit Hamburg it's like Berlin but better. Your photos are never less than stunning and it looks like you are having a blast in Euroland .

Sooo epic. I want to go to Berlin and act a fool, party my ass off to within 2 inches of my life. Techno, drugs and kinky youth culture.

The 50 Most Stylish Neighborhoods In The World

5. Kreuzberg-Friedrichshain

Quote:
After the fall of the Berlin Wall, students and artists began to move into the area because the rent was cheap. And we know how that goes—students and artists are the ones who dictate style from the ground up. One of the best sneaker and streetwear shops, Firmament, is located in Berlin. That's where cool guys go for hard-to-find Nikes and cult brands like White Mountaineering. You can also find quality shops like Civilist and Soto Store nearby, who readily stock enviable gear from Adam Kimmel, Kitsuné, and Raised By Wolves. A diverse selection and carefully-edited buys are what make this area one of the streetwear shopping capitals of the world. The neighborhood's most impressive feature, hands down, is the East Side Gallery. Created in 1990, it is a 1.3 km long section on the east side of the Berlin Wall that has been turned into a work of art and international freedom memorial. It features 105 paintings by artists from all over, and might be the largest long-lasting open air art gallery in the world.

Amazing city, stunning photography!

The only things I loathe more than tagging are the despicable vermin who create it.
