Wow! I didn't realize that much progress had been made. Doesn't look like they have much room to spare next to the Dome. Until the Dome is demolished, its going to look like a stadium cluster.

New Falcons Stadium Renderings

Soccer Configuration
This must be the "downsizing technology that was mentioned a while back. Its about what I figured they would do which is drop something down from the roof to cover the upper deck.

6 months of progress seen below.. July 9th, October 9th, January 9th. Moving pretty fast! They should have the ring enclosed in the next month or two. Wont be long until this thing starts looking like a stadium

it will be interesting to see when and how they build the plaza which will connect the stadium entrance to street level.

Daktronics to build halo board in new Falcons stadium

http://www.bizjournals.com/atlanta/n...w-falcons.html

Quote:
The Atlanta Falcons hired Brookings, S.D.-based Daktronics (NASDAQ: DAKT) to build a first-of-its-kind circular LED video display for the team's new $1.4 billion stadium.

The 63,800-square-foot,non-traditional LED video display will be more than five stories high and three times as large as the current largest single display board in the NFL. Referred to as the 'halo' board, it will be built into the stadium's retractable roof structure, positioned above the center of the field.
