These parking ramps are the most integrated, useful parking ramps I have ever dealt with. In addition to what has already been mentioned about them, the ramps connect to the skyway, have their own on and off-ramps from the interstate, are near night clubs and the arenas/stadiums mentioned here, AND they are within a block or two of 4 major performing arts theaters seating nearly 7000 people.
So, yes, they are HUGE ramps. BUT, they provide a HUGE benefit to the people of the Twin Cities and they don't take up that much space while still being integrated into the downtown area and the transportation network. Unlike some of these lots (mainly the ones around sporting arenas/stadiums) which are used less than 10% of the year, these ramps are almost daily for a variety of events and venues.
