While I'm not a fan of this Chinese idea of "supertalls in a park", this is yet another nice piece of architecture.
It would be nicer if it was more a part of the city rather than a vertical extension of a mall. But maybe that's the future of tall in China, gated Supertalls?
seconded. I find it extremely irritating. There is no cohesion with urban pedestrian traffic at all.

I happened to see this while driving by Suzhou on my trip to China last week. Sadly, I didnt have my camera with me but I can tell you that it has fully taken shape and the framework is pretty much complete. Also, they've put up the cladding on the bottom 40ish percent of the building. It actually looks amazing in Suzhou's skyline but I can't really imagine it anywhere else.
