Based on the insulation (the yellow) they put over one of the two sides. Looks like they still have one car functioning.

Ah, you're right.

Maybe in a couple more centuries they'll be finished insulating...

A public notice posted on Manitoba’s Liquor, Gaming & Cannabis Authority website for a "manufacturer’s licence with retail endorsement" lists Lake of the Woods Brewing Co. as the applicant, with the address — 242 Hargrave St. — indicating it will soon be setting up shop in True North Square. The licence application also indicates the brewery will have a patio area.

Rob Wozney, vice-president of communications and content with True North Sports and Entertainment, would only confirm that there are plans for the brewery to be on the list of tenants for True North Square; he indicated there would be further announcements in the coming weeks.

The Kenora, Ont.-based brewery opened its doors in 2013 in the city’s decommissioned fire hall; over the years, the brewery’s distribution has widened to include Manitoba, with many of its brews available at Liquor Marts.

In 2018, Lake of the Woods Brewing announced it would be opening a brewery, which is slated for this spring, in the small border city of Warroad, Minn.

Hey, they're peeling the plastic off the exterior panels on the north side today!

well hell, this whole time I thought that stuff was a vapor barrier waiting for them to install the cladding. I guess I was wrong this whole time, it is the cladding.

That's what I thought too about tower 1. The protective white film on the cladding and the white vapour barrier/waterproofing they put on the bare concrete look identical. The vapor barrier is visible next to the construction elevator for comparison. Not to be confused with all the finished cladding they have done on the west side.

So they're much further along then I realized. Once the construction elevator is out the rest of the exterior should be finished up pretty quickly.

Down comes the construction elevator, won't be long until the west side is closed up.

They're running out of time to get the square completely open for the Playoffs... not that that's what their goal is.

They'll be close. Could open up most of the square and just have the area around that one end of the tower closed off. Either way, looks like they'll be done in the next couple months.

I haven't heard anything on TN or Sutton trying to sell suites in the Residence portion of TNS. Doesn't it seem odd that this didn't start preconstruction?

The residence portion is not condos afaik. They are likely short term high end furnished rentals like they have in their Vancouver property.

That’s because it’s not a condo building, La Grande Residence are fully furnished long term stay hotel suites.

TNS is apartments. Sutton Place is "long term stay" type place. Nothing to pre-sell for these ones.

Too bad, I was interested in looking into buying a suite. So much for that plan. A condo connected to the sky walk system would have huge value to it.
