I have a feeling that all these new domes and sports facilities is Taipei's attempt to host more sporting events in the future - part of tourism and soft power. I take this as a good thing, but Taiwan seriously needs to upgrade it's sporting facilities across other parts of the island in order for these facilities to reach full use. I'm guessing a lot of this will just be used for concerts and events for the time being

This rendering came out when final announcement of environmental effect approval. It might not be the last rendering however it shows what it will look like after change the design due to floor area reducation request make by department of environmental protection. The previous design of tallest building is 127m high and is reduced to 108m high.

As far as I know there is no changing design between that time and present because there is no any further assessment document release by department of urban planning and department of environmental protection. Regard to this fact, I suggest this rendering is the final one.

正面

側面~從這邊看非常得明顯,是一顆很扁的巨蛋,另外從這邊看文化城影城那棟的玻璃帷幕改為霧面玻璃

Farglory group changes design again, I don't understand why they continually change it? For what reason?

at least they finally seem to be making progress on the construction after years of planning. better than the taipei gate project which is DOA.
