I love love love St Louis' building stock. It's like Milwaukee's grungy cool but fancier.

Is there any way I can get this photo in a larger size?

HomrQT- Since it's just an instagram, I believe this is the biggest file there is, right?

I agree. Everything I've seen on the news is "Ferguson". I had to Google Map it to even know where the hell it was. I didn't assume STL. Recently, I actually cancelled CNN, MSNBC, FOX because it's all overhyped BS 24/7 that has no effect on my daily life.

Always enjoy these STL photo tours. Thanks!

Amazing set. Like Expat said, I needed it.

May I ask where the following two photos were taken? They both look like recent-ish fires.

IWantToBeInSTL--

The first pic is on Blair St. in Hyde Park-- it's sandwiched between two nearly-identical buildings that are not burned out. I would've loved to get all three in the shot, but I couldn't get back far enough.

The second pic is at 2423 N. Spring in JeffVanderLou. Apparently the building was built as a streetcar substation for United Railways Co. Such a beautiful building with a great history-- I really hope it can be restored and put back into use. However, the surrounding neighborhood has seen better days, so I am not too optimistic.

Yeah that paint color with the trim, the curved windows, the dormers, cornice and the light snow... pretty

Thanks for the info, 'gasm. I hope both can be salvaged, but given the condition of the first and the location of the second I guess I won't hold my breath. It breaks my heart...

I have an unhealthy obsession with Samuel Shepard Drive. It's such an interesting street to me, and it has the potential to be so cool.

I would LOVE to renovate these rowhouses:
