I just realized that this tower looks similar to a building I designed back 2001 (center of image) I wonder if the architect stole the design from me lol!

Better yet, try to make a deal with them to get you a place in 432 Park for free. You'll have the best view in the house.

It was almost a third of the way up five days ago, according to Harley613...

The core is, but not the fascia, so it doesn't look like as tall as it is from most angles.

The floor you see being worked on with the 59th Street cam is the 25th window level above ground or 389' Today's rebar cages are to 410' and the top of the core frame is 447' +OR- 2'

Yep I'm the same guy. Glad you enjoyed the site

I haven't done any 3D work in about 7 or 8 years .. just too time consuming, but I'd love to take another stab it given how good Max and Maya, etc... are these days....plus I'm not running my old 1Ghz Celeron anymore, and thus shouldn't take 10 hours to render a pic

That makes sense. I just did a rough floor count and guessed that it was about 1/4 up.

Hell, I'd settle for rooftop access for a snazzy photo shoot.

I thought about that, as well as the Pan Am (Met Life) which was cleaned a while ago.

I was in Portland Maine overnight (work related) and this morning before I headed home I walked through the Harbor View Memorial Park. There's a path that goes literally right next to one of the support columns for the Casco Bay Bridge. I noticed that there were imperfections in the concrete pour much like the ones I see in photos of 432... and I mean holes the size of large marbles. If the "imperfections" in the concrete of 432 are anything like that I'd think they'd have to do something to fill them in for structural reasons, let alone aesthetics. Would someone with the proper knowledge care to comment?

This is the only diagram that shows the floors they are working on and some elevations of floors. The count you see on the left side is window level not floor count.

The 59th Street cam now shows the forms are up to window level 27 and the next floor supports are now seen for the start of #27 on the diagram. This is the start of the 26th column support beam above the lobby. This floor is listed as #27 and is 403' above the lobby.

Here there are some more detailed facade and sections drawings taken from the magazine Abitare, published by AAndreAA on SSC.

At one point the article says that the external finish of the tower will be the same as the Guggenheim Museum in Wright...

Last one was tuesday the 20th, not wednesday, and today is august 23rd, so it is 3 day, but still it is the fastests core jump they've done, it is less than 72 hours, since last one was at a later hour on tuesday.

BTW, it seems it is pretty windy there, the 59th st. camera is shaking a lot.
