Anyone know the number of stalls in this huge multi-site parkade. Some are saying it is very inadequate for Oilers games.

I think it's probably inadequate for event days but there was an assumption that locating the arena downtown would be tricky and that parking would naturally over-flow to the thousands of otherwise empty stalls around downtown after 5 pm...

Of course there's been a bit of a backlash and prices that were permanently jacked up were dropped again on non-Rogers Place days at parkades nearby (cough cough City Centre Mall)...

Over 3000 stalls according to:
http://icedistrictproperties.com/vis...district-story

That's nothing to sneeze at, but it would be completely unrealistic to build a structure to house enough cars for Rogers Place at full capacity. There are many other spaces in parking garages, surface lots, and on-street nearby, but most importantly people attending events will overwhelmingly use transit and the LRT to get to and from games, as they did with Rexall.

^^^ I agree that 3K more than adequate given the number of options getting to Rogers Place. It is along major bus routes as well as LRT, not to mention the amount of people who attend games that live within the core already.

Version 3.0? Not bad! Not as good as 1.0, but certainly better than 2.0...

The scale of this project still amazes me.

Hard to believe they just started demoing the Greyhound station in mid June and now excavation of a P5 pit is done and tower B is ready to rise. This is moving very quickly!
