^Yes, pre-cast panels. The core for the tower was cast-in-place up to the third floor, where it is right now. The rest is pre-cast I'm told.

News...Info on progress, pics....over 2 months?

Actually I'm not really upset..

When a 25 storey tower isn't really on our minds...I know things are heading in the right direction in this city. It sounds odd to say but..ahhhh ..It's just another residential tower with a tower and crawler crane on site. .

The tower portion is slated to start rising (and it should rise fast) in March.

Heritage Goes Modern

CHRISTOPHER FRIESEN

The first new highrise apartment in Winnipeg's downtown in two decades is taking form on the north bank of the Assiniboine River

Heritage Landing will be a 410,000 square foot, 28-storey high apartment and townhouse complex with 215 suites.

The general contractor is Crystal Construction Ltd. Winnipeg based design firm ft3 is the architect and consulting engineering is by Crosier Kilgour & Partners Ltd. (structural) and MCW Consultants Ltd. (mechanical/electrical).

The roughly $60 million project is scheduled for completion in 2015.

http://www.journalofcommerce.com/art...ge-goes-modern

They list this as 28 Floors, when it is clearly being built at 25. Crystal Construction Ltd still lists it as 28 but again this was the initial announcement. If there is a correction, please let me know.

the tower crane for this project may be the longest ever on the Winnipeg skyline since the mb hydro tower!
