Isn't this round 3? I'll take part in the next one. No longer feeling lazy from my Covid vacation.

Yeah it's round 3 but is anyone else designing anything? I'm just trying to prove it's possible to adhere to height limits and large scale building sites in conceptualizing a project.

Who wants to turn North End Robie Street into a red brick New Halifax district?

(To save time I just used a generic 8000 sqft floorplate balcony tower with varied balconies.)

I'm feeling a wee bit motivated again. I'm starting to think tower on podiums are wrong for this site but I'm too lazy to start over today.

I think cities like Halifax, Kitchener Waterloo and Hamilton ought to be filled with thousands of new developments scaled like

I vote for a Regina-scaled version of Rogers Place... arena with combination of adjacent hotel/office/condo towers.

Interesting as long as interiors are not needed.

Here's a two tower site at Robson and Richards, a parking lot that includes the Japadog strip. 827 Richards Parking lot #97

Telus Garden - 135m, 46 storeys - is across the street on Robson.

Another site: Denman & Morton beside the Ocean Towers replacing a one storey retail building that includes La Catina Tacos and could also include the neighbouring surface parking lot beside Delany's Coffee/Fatburger.

The Robson site is suitable for something tall

Denman is more suitable to something under 30 stories

Wait, did we ever get an outcome to the Halifax round? So far I'm leaning toward voting for urbandreamer but I also haven't seen anyone else's proposals so that might be a factor.

My preferred option would be the Robson parking lot across from Telus Garden.

In terms of deadlines, I suggest we give ourselves ample time, maybe the end of January?

I think most of us trailed off during that round, unfortunately. I wasn't a fan of the height limitations.

Nor was I... low-rise didn't cut it for me. Something reasonably tall this time will catch my interest far more than the Halifax round did.

Robson & Richards site ok? 30 January 2021 deadline? Height limits in real life impacted by view cones. Not certain what that is here but probably under 60 storeys.

(I would redo my Halifax proposal with smaller buildings, a more dynamic and intimate scale. Towers on podiums leave me cold.)

According to the Vancouver SSP view cone experts, the Robson & Richards site has a max height allowance of ~120m (395-400')

The site with two 8000 sq ft floorplate 400' towers on a podium:
