Here are some updated renderings of 310 South College Avenue, now called Uncommon. This development features 119 apartments on 6 floors with 11,000 square feet of ground floor retail.

Lets not pooh pooh the significance of 34 jobs coming to Pueblo in the next 2 years. That's probably 200 or so more people that will get the pleasure of ignoring the state fair every year. And it's also not so many people that Pueblo will have to deal with the possibility, every, over its entire future history, from now until the sun goes nova, of having a giant ocean liner type of apartment block constructed within the city like the poor poor citizens of Denver do.

(I'll be back in less than an hour probably to tell you which project gets posted on a certain Facebook page to show me exactly how Pueblo has the exact same kind of development Denver does).

Another Colorado city passes construction defects ordinance

The City Council of Commerce City on Monday became the latest Denver-metro city to approve an ordinance altering the way the state's construction defects law works within city limits.

Expansion of Pueblo's little meeting room "convention center".

Expansion of the riverwalk. Which honestly is terrific. Been there a few times in the last year. It's VERY nice.

And of course the mythical Pueblo Springs still exists in many people's minds.

Justin/Denver Urban Review also had a nice summary of this and the general progress of Westminster's new downtown.

These big ideas take time to get rolling. I suspect we'll see more suburban development projects come along. I know the Nine Mile Station Regatta Plaza redevelopment is winding its way through the process.
