We forgot to mention that our son, Hiranjgarbh, was born here. From this place we move to West Hollywood. The picture brings all our memories back. Thanks for posting the photos of the historic heart of downtown. I was in LA for several days in April and spent some time all around downtown. My wife and I enjoyed a great two-hour downtown walking tour. Having visited periodically over the past 25 years or so, I have to say that LA has improved immensely from prior visits!

I think I'll come back to using this thread more often to get away from the Trolls that live at the main Downtown LA development thread (seen here: http://forum.skyscraperpage.com/showthread.php?t=207723 )

This is a great photo Hunter... you should sell it to The Broad for their marketing materials! Looks excellent in this shot.

This thread is helping me to resume my motivation for early morning summer power walks through downtown. So much construction and renewal going on now downtown, it's amazing, I love it! Keep up the excellent work, it's very much appreciated.

I really like the theater [?] in the foreground. Classic urban bldg..........with retail sitting right on the sidewalk edge. DTLA has lost a couple of these types of bldgs for projects that never got built.

The Tower Theatre is pretty spectacular. There were a lot of giant DTLA theatres torn down over the years...
