OSAKA | Nakanoshima Festival Tower | 200 M / 656 FT | 39 FLOORS

Osaka by 2018, two 200 meter towers housing The Asahi Shinbun`s
Head Office and new Festival Hall will copleted in the city`s cultural
and business center.

Located in the prime Nakanoshima riverfront area, towers will attract
an estimated 12,000 wokers daily.

Wow, those towers sure look square. duh.

I like it but it would look so much better if the black tower part went all the way to the bottom.The tall base makes the towers look weird but I like the color of the base. Brown and Green.

Design

The long cherished roundish exterior design of the77 year old Osaka Asahi
Building will be preserved in the tower structures of the new towers.
The project includes environment friendly designs such as rooftop gardens.

The towers will be constructed to withstand an earthquake of 7 intensity, the highest level on the Japanes semic sacale, and be surrounded with
rich greenery.

A train station, located uneder earth the new towers, will make direct trips
to Kyoto possible via new Keihan Electric Railway section scheduled to opne
Autumn 2008.


Nakanoshima ia a strip of land sandwiched between the Dojimagawa and Tosaborigawa rivers in the kita Ward.
Many project going on in Nakanoshima and Umeda.
